Colin Derek Hickling has been charged with two offences relating to pornography featuring youths.
Communications Counsel for the BC Prosecution Service Dan McLaughlin has confirmed to Summit 107 details around the trial for Hickling.
He says the 54-year-old was arrested by RCMP for allegedly possessing and importing/distributing child pornography.
Charges were laid on February 22, 2016, in Fernie.
Originally, the trial was scheduled to begin on January 22, 2019, but that was rescheduled to June 11 of this year in Cranbrook BC Supreme Court.
McLaughlin says the delay was made due to the amount of time the trial is expected to take, which he reports that nine days have been set aside for this matter.
