Sparwood's Rocky Mountain Meats is reporting a break and enter at their store in the early morning hours on Friday, going to social media to share photos and video of the incident with the public.
Posting surveillance video of the reported break and enter, the video evidence shows a hooded suspect gain entry to the local business around 2:30 am by kicking through the front door. The bottom pane of glass was smashed as the suspect then walked over to the cash register and pulled out the money tray.
It is unclear how much money the suspect may have made off with, only briefly rummaging behind the front desk inside the business for a few moments before fleeing the scene.
With limited details, Rocky Mountain Meats is offering a $500 cash reward to anyone that may have information or details about the break and enter.
Summit 107 attempted to reach out to Elk Valley RCMP, but no one was immediately available to speak to the reported incident.
As of publishing, Rocky Mountain Meats social media posts have been more than 250 times.
