If you know a truly exceptional resident of Cranbrook, the Chamber of Commerce wants you to let them know.
This will be the 45th year the local Chamber will be honouring a local resident at the citizen of the year.
"This is an exceptional award for an extraordinary citizen," says President Chris Botterill. "If you look at the list of past recipients, it is a who's who of what makes Cranbrook a great place to live, work, and play."
Last year, Karin Penner was given the honour.
The basic criteria is simple - someone from Cranbrook who, through their efforts, has made the community a better place.
Nominators are asked to submit the names of their nominee along with supporting documents that outline their community contributions, years of active involvement, and positions held within organization or groups that benefit Cranbrook.
A minimum of three letters of support are required.
Nominations can be submitted to the Cranbrook Chamber of Commerce at 2279 Cranbrook Street North, or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The deadline to do so is Friday, November 24, 2017.
