The Kootenay ICE have signed 1998-born goaltender Curtis Meger to a WHL Standard Player Agreement, as the overage goaltender will join the ICE for the rest of the 2018/19 season.

A native of Regina, Saskatchewan, Meger played 27 games in the WHL last season with the Prince Alberta Raiders. Over that span, Meger was 8-10-5-1 with a 3.43 GAA and a .886 SV%.

This season, Meger has played in the Alberta Junior Hockey League with the Lloydminster Bobcats. Playing 20 games with the Bobcats, Meger has posted a .892 SV% and a 4.02 GAA.

The Kootenay ICE are able to sign the 20-year-old netminder after recently trading away overage defenceman Dallas Hines to the Vancouver Giants last Friday.
