Kimberley RCMP officers, assorted staff, family and friends all participated on Sunday in the Ride Don't Hide event to raise awareness for mental health.

A nationwide fundraising bike event, Ride Don't Hide raises critical funding and support for programs with the Canadian Mental Health Association in each community.

"We are proud to participate in Ride Don’t Hide 2019, so we can all get the support and help we need to thrive," said Sgt. Chris Newel, Kimberley RCMP Detachment Commander.

Newel said the Kimberley participants rode, ran and walked various distances as part of the fundraising event while several others used Round the Mountain as their way of showing support.

"The detachment members, family and friends embraced the event, all in support of Mental Health, I’m proud of their dedication to the cause."
