Emergency vehicles and personnel will be on scene at Cranbrook's campus on Monday, but there is no reason to be concerned.
Cranbrook Fire and Emergency Services and B.C. Ambulance Service are teaming up with the college's second and third-year nursing students to help prepare them for real-life situations.
They will be simulating a disaster that will leave several staged people in critical distress.
Anyone in the vicinity of the college can expect to see fire trucks and ambulances, their associated personnel, nursing students, stretchers, and more.
Since this is part of their education and meant to be like a real emergency, the college is asking that you leave them space to do their work.
The simulation will run between 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on Monday.
